Plot and Story

The story follows Sanjay Sikandar Rajkot (Salman Khan), a former royal who decides to help poor people after a tragic incident. He fights against corrupt politicians and criminals to bring justice to society.

Sikandar lives happily with his wife Saisri (Rashmika) until he gets into trouble with a powerful politician named Pradhan. This leads to a big conflict where Sikandar must protect innocent people from evil forces.

Unfortunately, the story feels confusing and doesn’t make much sense. Many scenes seem forced and lack proper logic, making it hard for viewers to connect with the plot.

Acting Performances

Salman Khan does what he always does – action, dialogue delivery, and his signature style. However, his acting lacks depth, especially in emotional scenes where the character needed more feeling.

Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal get very little screen time and meaningful roles. Both talented actresses are wasted in typical romantic roles that don’t add much to the story.

Sathyaraj plays the villain Pradhan with his usual serious acting. The supporting cast including Sharman Joshi does okay but nothing outstanding.

Direction and Technical Work

A.R. Murugadoos seems to struggle balancing his creative vision with making a typical Salman Khan movie. The film feels like a compromise between art and commercial entertainment.

The action scenes look expensive and grand but often ignore basic logic. The visual effects and camera work are good quality, but they can’t hide the weak story and poor character development.

Music and Songs

Pritam composed the music with popular songs like Zohra Jabeen and Sikandar Naache. The songs mix traditional and modern sounds to appeal to different age groups.

While the music is catchy and well-made, it doesn’t really improve the overall movie experience. The songs feel more like commercial breaks than part of the story.

Critics and Ratings

Most critics gave the film poor ratings. Indian Express gave only 1.5/5 stars, saying the director and actor failed to offer anything new.

OTTPlay gave an extremely low 0.5/5 stars, showing complete disappointment. Bollywood Hungama rated it 2.5/5, praising the social message but criticizing everything else.

IMDb users rated it 3.9/10, which shows mixed but mostly negative response from regular moviegoers.

What Works

Big Budget Production – The movie looks expensive with good sets, costumes, and technical quality that matches its huge budget. Salman Khan’s Appeal – His fans will enjoy his screen presence and typical style, even if the story is weak. Action Scenes – The fight sequences are big and dramatic, giving audiences the spectacle they expect from such movies.

What Doesn’t Work

Weak Story – The plot makes no sense and feels completely artificial. Many scenes happen without any logical reason. Wasted Female Actors – Rashmika and Kajal deserved much better roles instead of just being romantic additions to the story. Boring Pace – Except for about 20 minutes before intermission, the movie drags and becomes tiresome to watch. No Emotional Connect – The film fails to make audiences care about characters or what happens to them.

Public Opinion

Salman Khan fans are somewhat happy to see their favorite star in action again. However, general audiences feel disappointed with the predictable story and lack of freshness.

Many people compare it unfavorably to recent hits like Jawan, saying it’s better than Pathaan but still not good enough. Social media reactions are mostly negative except from hardcore fans.

Final Thoughts

Sikandar (2025) had all the ingredients for success – big star, proven director, huge budget, and good supporting cast. Unfortunately, it wastes all these advantages with poor writing and execution.

The movie will only satisfy die-hard Salman Khan fans who enjoy his movies regardless of quality. Regular viewers looking for good entertainment or meaningful stories should skip this one.

It’s a classic example of how throwing money and stars at a project doesn’t guarantee success. Good stories and smart direction matter more than big budgets and celebrity names.

Sikandar proves that Bollywood needs to focus on better scripts and original ideas instead of relying on star power and formula films to attract audiences.
